"Gedenke ..." creates references and builds bridges:
between Christian-Western culture and Buddhism,
between the well-known objects of the art of the old masters
and their modern staging.

The motifs pick up on current topics that concern everyone:
Waste, life and death, dealing with the past,
the direction we're going

When the whole world is in political and economic turmoil
it is all the more important to remember what is essential.
And think about how we can build bridges instead of walls.
"Gedenke" can open the space for it.

Hannah Arendt says: "It is the withdrawal from the world and its affairs that opens up the possibility of looking at what is really there."

Reduction can serve to focus one's own thoughts and actions.
The essential is found between them.
